Dental X-rays

X-rays are required to detect many dental problems, including decay between teeth, infections around tooth roots, bone health, and developmental problems. Our office is equipped with digital x-ray technology. Digital x-rays require about 80 percent less radiation than standard film. The results are visible immediately. Images can be enlarged for ease of viewing and shared with other providers.

For most situations, small images are taken using a sensor placed in your mouth. When indicated, a digital panoramic x-ray may be recommended. This image includes all of your teeth as well as the bones that support them. This involves sitting or standing still while the machine slowly rotates around your head.
